I am a second year Psychology student, hoping to specialise in Forensics or Military.
I competitively dance and horse ride with modeling on the side.
have a boyfriend in the Air Force who I have been with for 3 years this year and, if all goes to plan, I will be moving to Darwin in mid-july.
I’ve had some people call me “crazy” or “slightly insane” to move to a new state that I have no friends or family at. Why I would put myself in a situation that I knew no one. My boyfriend would still be a 3 hour drive away.
I ask them, “Why not?”
After the heart-wrenching murder of my best friend in 2013, i suddenly woke up to the concept that life is truly a gift. Nothing is secure. The future you think you have might not be the same one you live come a few months or years down the track.
Why no experience something different?
Why no change your life?
Just pack your bags and leave. It might be a disaster or it might be the best thing you’ve ever done.
And if it doesn’t work out, you can always come back home.
My best friend made me realise that every day is precious. Be the best person you can be, life the most extraordinary life you are able to, push yourself to your limits and see where it gets you, pack your bags and travel somewhere totally different. No one has taught me more than she has.
Life is a gift. Don’t waste it. You’ll regret it if you do.
